Billies and Concrete stay sharp with big wins to stay atop the West, while R.I.P. knocks off We All We Got to take sole possession of first in the East.

Buffalo, NY-  Saturday’s games featured what were perhaps the best slate of games of the season.  In Game 1, R.I.P. Ent cruised past We All We Got to take sole possession of first in the East.  R.I.P. Ent is wrapping up what is perhaps their best regular season performance in franchise history and appears to be the most complete team in the league at this point.  M.V.P. Network Consulting gave up a 16 point lead to a feisty United Hoops squad, which is quickly becoming a fan favorite with their fast-paced hard working brand of basketball.  Michael Marsh led Ball Never Lies over Team First in Game 3 to stay a half game ahead of United Hoops for the final playoff spot in the East with one game remaining.  Sponge Bob Square Pants stayed hot with a big win against Norfolk N’ Chance.  John Bowen (19 points) and Adam Lafluer (18 points) led Sponge Bob in the victory and a four-way tie for second place in the East.  Dean Antalik scored a season high 34 points in the loss.  Slaughterhouse also had a big win against Reloaded to take their share of second in the East.  Perry Davis led Slaughterhouse with 18 points, while Nick Jarmusz scored a game high 34 points in the loss.

White Men Can’t Jump suffered a heart-breaking loss against Pimpin’ Ain’t East in the first game of Western Conference action of the day.  Frank Musso scored a game high 24 points to stay in the hunt for the scoring title, but it wasn’t enough to carry WMCJ to victory.  Healthy Buffalo pulled out a big win against a struggling V.A.G squad behind a monster second half performance by Brian Walter who scored 23 of his 26 points in the second half.  Concrete cruised to an easy win over Peerless Insurance.  Captain Paul Staring suggested that some serious personnel may be in store after questioning the dedication of some of his teammates.  The Fastbreakers knocked off a shorthanded Prestige Worldwide team despite a monster game by Adam Wentz, who scored a career best 31 points.  In the final game of Week 8 action the Billies knocked off a streaking Jeremy Lin & The Temptations team, who were coming off a two game winning streak.
