NDN Gunners move to 3-0 with another big win over the Shining Force, while Pawlowski helped the Lemon Drops squeak past Healthy Buffalo to move to 2-1.

Buffalo, NY-  It was another great night of hoops action in Week 3 as a seventh team entered the fold and the Lemon Drops and the NDN Gunners stayed atop the standings.  In the first game of action the NDN Gunners muted the league’s leading scorer, limiting Harper Bishop to just seven points, while unleashing their near unstoppable offensive attack on the other end of the court.  Mimi Williams led the NDN Gunners with 15 points in another solid team win.

In the second game of action the Lemon Drops held on to win their second game of the season in dramatic fashion after nearly blowing a double digit lead.  Melissa Pawlowski did a great job breaking down the full-court press and working the ball around to her teammates.  Ashley Kimble led the Lemon Drops with 13 points in the win.  Healthy Buffalo made a spirited comeback attempt, led behind the offensive attack of team newcomer Aaliyah Dunbar (16 points).  But it was too little, too late as the Lemon Drops would advance to 2-1 and Healthy Buffalo would fall to 1-2.

In the final game of the night the Geriatric Lady Bears took on TBD.  It was the league debut for TBD and they made a statement, handily beating a solid Geriatric Lady Bears team.  Tanisha Travis (19 points) and Marybeth Nugent (15 points) did most of the damage offensively.  Robyn Frank led the Lady Bears with eight points, while Ona Halladay chipped in another six in a losing effort.  The loss drops the Geriatric Lady Bears to 1-2 in the standings.
