The $1,000 Tournament of Champions is back and now officially part of each season of Healthy Buffalo basketball. The Healthy Buffalo summer season will kick off on June 11th.
The inaugural Tournament of Champions was such a success that we decided to make it a permanent feature in each season of Healthy Buffalo hoops. The concept is perfect: 60 team enter, 1 team leaves. Hopefully as we continue to add additional teams, leagues and sponsors into the fold the purse will grow. Slime rose through the ranks of the B League to bring home the title in the first Tournament of Champions, but it will be a tough task to repeat. In addition to the $1,000 tournament and prize we will continue to run the Kids Clinic beforehand and the 3-Point Shootout between the semis and title game. The combination of all three events make it a perfect celebration of hoops to end each season. Hear is the complete breakdown of our men’s summer basketball schedule:
Sunday’s Starting June 28th: Champions League A & B Divisions (K of C & NBCC)
Tuesday’s Starting June 16th: North Buffalo CC C League (Men’s Beginner/Recreational Level Basketball League)
Wendesday’s Starting June 17th: Healthy Buffalo Women’s League (Wednesday Night Women’s Basketball League)
Thursday’s Starting June 11th: North Buffalo CC A League (Thursday Men’s Open Basketball League)
Tentative Date of September 12th: Healthy Buffalo Co-Ed Kids Basketball Clinic, Tournament of Champions & the 3-Point Shootout
