I R Colludge Edjukated and Norfolk N’ Chance put on a show in a preview of the play-in game next Sunday, while Swoopin’ In On Ya Girl dashes the playoff dreams of Lux.

Buffalo, NY- Another action packed regular season of Kronies Jamfest has come to an end this past Sunday. Norfolk N’ Chance backed into the playoffs with a tight loss to I R Colludge Edjukated. Jon Plail scored a season high 33 points, but came up just short in knocking off Matt Hart (32 points), John Bowen (13 points), and I R Colludge Edjukated. The two teams will face off this Sunday in the play-in game to see who gets a chance to play the number one seed Sponge Bob Square Pants.

In the following game John Papincak and Swoopin’ In On Ya Girl looked to bounce Lux in their last ditch effort to salvage their season. Lux gave it their all but came up just short in the end. Jeorge Ebanks led all scorers with 35 points and helped Swoopin’ In On Ya Girl lock up the number two seed in the playoffs.

Matt Hart comes out of nowhere to lead I R Colludge Edjukated to the playoffs.

In the 6pm game Sponge Bob coasted to victory over a disheartened AXA squad. Jon Burgio dropped 32 points, but came up just short in the scoring title chase to Jon Plail. Sponge Bob locked up the number one seed and will have home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

In the 6pm game Practical Modern Basketball pulled out the narrow victory over Victorious Secret in what could end up being a preview of the Consolation Bowl Championship. In the 7pm game IMPROV put in an impressive victory over the Monstars behind an incredible game by Joe Nezezon who scored a season high 27 points. In the final game of the night The U.H. polished off Healthy Buffalo to enter the post season in with some good momentum.

And that is a wrap on the regular season. From here on out it’s do or die. May the best team advance and capture the Kronies Jamfest 4 championship trophy.

The U.H. battles Victorious Secret to lock up the last playoff spot in the West, while Court Justice hands Sponge Bob Square Pants their first loss in the East.

Buffalo, NY- It is getting down to the wire now in Kronies Jamfest 4, with only one game remaining after this Sunday’s games. There will be loads of drama this week with a ton on the line in both divisions. In the Western Conference Sean Satarian looks poised to wrap up the scoring title with a 34 point edge over Vincent Ceretto, who currently stands second in the scoring chase. In the East however, Jon Burgio and Jon Plail are running neck and neck for the title. Moe Bailey has a bye in the final week which will keep him out of the race, while John Bowen of I R Colludge Edjukated is a long shot trailing by 20 points after Week 8. In the East, there is a logjam at the bottom of the Conference with the Championship bracket almost completely wide open with the bottom five teams all within one game of each other. Week 9 will also be the last chance to make an impression for the All-Star game as balloting will end by the end of next week.

There were a number of interesting games in Week 8. In the first game White Men Can’t Jump got there season back on track with a win over Healthy Buffalo, but still appear to be approaching the playoffs with a whimper with the absence of Wade Josiah, Tim Camarretta and Scott Grandits. IMPROV cruised past the Flint Tropics to lock up their spot in the playoffs, although the seeding is still up in the air. The U.H. squared off against league leading scorer Shawn Satarian and Victorious Secret in what amounted to a do-or-die playoff style game with the winner making the playoffs and the loser relegated to the Consolation Bracket. Luke Pichette had a Chamberlainesque performance dominating the paint while scoring a career high 34 points and leading The U.H. into the playoffs. In the final Western Conference game Darren Kresge and PMB tried to pull off the upset against the VeryAggresiveGuys, but came up just short in the end, falling 54-48 and setting their sights on a Consolation Bowl title.

Darrik Bloomfield drives to the basket in IMPROV's win over the Flint Tropics

In the Eastern Conference Norfolk N’ Chance continued their late season surge destroying the Hoosiers 69-36, while making their push for the playoffs. Sponge Bob Square Pants suffered their first loss of the season to Court Justice, ending their bid to become the first team ever to make it through Kronies Jamfest undefeated. In the 9pm slot Kronies Jamfest witnessed its first forfeit ever in it’s four season history as no one from Lux showed for the game. It was a disappointing showing, but Ball So Hard accepted the win, to keep their slim post-season hopes alive. In the final game of the night I R Colludge Edjukated cleaned up AXA with a convincing 99-76 point win to keep their playoff hopes alive as well. I R Colludge Edjukated was led by Kronies Jamfest newcomer Matt Hart who was nearly unstoppable scoring 37 points in the win. John Bowen chipped in another 27 points to keep him in the hunt for the scoring title.

Week 9 Game of the Week

There are too many game to choose from in Week 9 as the regular season comes to an end and so much on the line. But with needing to pick one you have to go with the matchup between Lux and Swoopin’ In On Ya Girl. After a season that had begun with such promise, Lux now sits on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs after suffering an epic late season collapse. With a roster loaded with talent but low on passion and commitment, Lux has struggled to muster a single win in the last four weeks. Can Lux pull off the last second turnaround and and knock off the Eastern Conference powerhouse Swoopin’ In On Ya Girl to make it into the playoffs? Or will they instead fizzle away and look back on a season that could have been? Find out live this Sunday at the conclusion of the Kronies Jamfest 4 regular season.

Norfolk N’ Chance roll past AXA and into the final playoff spot with two weeks remaining, while White Men Can’t Jump stumbles into the playoffs with their second consecutive loss against against IMPROV.

Buffalo, NY- Only two more weeks remain before the playoffs and seeds 6-9 are giving it all to work into the championship bracket. Norfolk N’ Chance took a big step in week seven against Mike Ridge and AXA. Jon Plail stayed hot against AXA scoring 24 points and taking control of the scoring title. Without Jeremy Kelley AXA had no answer for Bill Gorman (19 points), who continues to provide a solid inside presence for Norfolk N’ Chance. Dev Dawson (16 points) led AXA in scoring, but it wasn’t enough as Norfolk N’ Chance pulled out the 74-61 point victory and passed AXA for the final playoff spot in the East.

Mark Giordano prepares to launch from downtown.

In game two, I R Colludge Edjukated kept their playoff hopes alive with the win over Court Justice, who struggled without their leading scorer Moe Bailey. I R Colludge Edjukated kept the pedal to the medal, wearing down Court Justice and making a case for the playoffs. John Bowen (21 points) led a balanced attack in taking the victory 92-85

In the 5pm game an invigorated Hoosiers squad were looking for their second win of the season against Lux. Marc Antecki (17 points) and Dave Hall (21 points) provided a formidable one-two punch for the Hoosiers, while Lux struggled to keep up in the absence of big man Charlie Comerford, who suffered a lower back injury in week six. Final Score: Hoosiers 75, Lux 55.

In the Week 7 Game of the Week, Swoopin’ In On Ya Girl came within a single point of handing Sponge Bob Square Pants their first loss of the season. In a game full of twists and turns Sponge Bob Square Pants won a nail-biter 90-89, behind another dominant performance by Elton Frazier who led all scorers with 32.

The highly anticipated Western Conference match-up between White Men Can’t Jump and IMPROV was a bit anticlimactic as much of the WMCJ squad was off on vacation. Vincent Ceretto dropped in a game high 27 points to move to second place in the Western Conference scoring chase, while Kronies Jamfest legend Will Castro made a cameo for White Men Can’t Jump and dropped 20 points. Final Score: IMPROV 99, White Men Can’t Jump 73.

Count Victorious Secret on the list of teams surging at just the right time. Shawn Satarian appears to have regained his form from Kronies Jamfest 2011 scoring 30+ points for the second consecutive game. David Laudero made a valiant effort for Healthy Buffalo scoring a career high 23, but it wasn’t enough as Victorious Secret squeaked out the 65-60 point victory.

In the 9pm game The U.H. welcomed the return of starting center Luke Pichette to the lineup for the match-up against the reigning Kronies Jamfest 3 champion Very Aggressive Guys. Mike Capuana made it rain in the second half, connecting on four of five three-point attempts, but it was too late as The U.H. could not overcome the 37-17 point deficit they dug themselves into in the first half. Ben Walkow carried the torch in week seven, leading the Very Aggressive Guys with 19 points, but as usual it was their

In the final game of Week 7 James Kim and the Monstars took on Practical Modern Basketball, who needed the win to stay in the hunt in the West. James Kim (12 points) played his heart out for the Monstars, but Darren Kresge (17 points) and company used their size advantage to dominate the interior, holding a big edge in rebounds and second chance points while pulling out the 59-33 point victory.

Week 8 Game of the Week

Fifth seed The U.H. squares off against Victorious secret with the winner controlling their own destiny for the final spot in the West. Does Shawn Satarian have another 30+ point game in him? Can Mike Capuana deliver another heroic performance and lead his team into the playoffs? Find out live this Sunday at 5pm! Bring your friends and bring your family. This is one matchup you won’t want to miss.
