APEXSEMIOur Championship teams have been decided!  Here’s a recap of the scores for our semi-final action:

8:00  (1) The Brotherhood 57 – (6) Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy 46

9:00  (2) Beals on Wheels 63 – (5) Gimmie Sum A Dat Juice 45

Getzville, NY-  In the 8:00 game, The Brotherhood managed to oust sixth seed Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy to advance to the championship game, though with not as decisive a victory as they had in round one.  This time it was by a 9 point margin with a final score of 57 to 46.  The Brotherhood’s outstanding player of the game was Timmy Thomas with a strong 19 point game.  Next up was Jerome Knight with a 12 point contribution along with Jerome Matthews and Nick Sepe with 10 apiece.  Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy was able to generate some good offense thanks to a game high 21 point performance from Brian Walters and a respectable 12 from T. Dinkian.  Unfortunately  it wasn’t enough to take down the undefeated Brotherhood.

Rob Stephan netted the high score of the night in the 9:00 game as he dropped 24 to help lift his number 2 seed Beals on Wheels over five seed Gimmie Sum A Dat Juice by a final score of 63-45.  Other notable performances came from Nick Wheeler adding 15 to the scoreboard as well as Nick Wheeler with 15 and Jeff Wheeler with 11.  Gimmie Sum’s best performance  came from Nate Schutt who threw down 18, followed by Seth Wittlinger who managed 13.  Nobody else on the roster managed to muster more than 10 points which helped put Beals on top.

The championship game is slated to begin at 9:00 next Tuesday.  It’s sure to be an intense game with the number 1 and 2 seeds facing off for the title.  Stay tuned for stats and scores.
