Let’s start with the scores for our round one action:

Getzville, NY- There were no big surprises in the first game of the night as number one seed The Brotherhood managed to double the team score of eighth seed iHope Church 108-54. About half of the teams’ points came from Jerome Matthews and Chris Washburn with 25 points apiece. An 18 point performance was added by Timmy Thomas followed by Andrew Johnson with 14 and Darcel Maye with 13. High scoring honors of the game and the night actually went to iHope Church’s Mike Richbart with a commanding 27 point game. Unfortunately no other player on the roster was able to post more than 10 points resulting in the game’s final score. The Brotherhood will go on to face number six seed Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy next week at 8:00 pm. With so many weapons to choose from on The Brotherhood, Pimpin’ is sure to their work cut out for them.
The second game of the night featured number 2 seed Beals on Wheels and seven seed Triple Threats. Again there was no major upset here as Beals managed to oust the Threats 57-30. The game’s high scorer was Beals’ Rob Stephan posting 17 points. Other major contributors were Scott Wheeler with 14 and Brian Wheeler with 11. The Triple Threats couldn’t manage to get much offense going as a team with their high scoring player HJ Servio only managing 10 points. Beals on Wheels will take on Number 5 seed Gimmie Sum A Dat Juice in the 9:00 next week.
The 9:00 pm game was decided by a mere one point as sixth seeded Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy upset number 2 seed Panthers 58-57. The charge was led by Pimpin’s Shay Clarkcuadra with the game’s high of 19 points closely followed by Brian Walter with 17. All other players contributed, though none were able to break ten points. For the Panthers, Jake Tyno and Brian Pappagallo were the high scorers, each putting up 14 points. Brandon Hudson also did his best and was close behind with 12 points.
The final game of the night was another one-point-nailbiting-upset as number five seed Gimmie Sum A Dat Juice managed to oust Solid Basketball Group by a razor thin 50-49. The game’s high scorer was solid Basketball Group’s Louis Megna with a respectable 15 points followed by Chris Hillman with 9. But it wasn’t enough as Gimmie Sum’s Ray Bailey put up 14, Seth Wittlinger netted 13, and Jordan Martin managed 12.
With how these games turned out, the semifinal action is sure to be intense next Tuesday night. Will there be any more upsets? Stay tuned to find out. All of the action begins starting at 8:00 pm.
