Full Clip locks up its fifth straight win to stay locked atop League A with YAO KNOW WHAT I MING, while Schiller Park Boyz win a nail-biter over Healthy Buffalo to recapture first place in League B.
Buffalo, NY- With only three weeks left in the regular season a number of the leagues most storied franchises find themselves on the brink of missing the playoffs. In League B, The U.H. is still searching for their first win of the season as they sit alone at the bottom of the division. The Flint Tropics just locked up their first win this week and are currently on the outside looking in at tenth place in the division, while the Billies are holding on by a thread in the eighth and final playoff spot.
In League A, it looks like either R.I.P. Ent or Sponge Bob Square Pants will end up missing the playoffs for the first time in franchise history as they battle it out for the last playoff spot, while last summer’s league champion the Spartans will have an uphill battle to make the playoffs as they sit at 1-5.
League newcomer Jon Marsh continues to establish himself as one of the leagues most potent offensive threats as he holds a commanding lead in the scoring chase in League A. In League B the scoring board is heavy at the top with league regulars as Nick Jarmusz, John Bowen, Brian Alley, Mike Bennett, Mark Ward and Frank Pieri all have a chance to bring home the scoring title.
Week 7 Action
In the final game of the night Sponge Bob Square Pants will take on a red hot Full Clip squad. Sponge Bob will welcome the return of their leader Jon Burgio who missed the last couple games, but will be without Adam Lafleur. This game will be a good test to see if Sponge Bob can still compete in a post-LaFleur era against the leagues heavyweight opponents.
In League B the Flint Tropics will host the Billies in what could be their last chance to make a run at the playoffs. A win against the Billies would put them within striking distance of the eighth and final playoff spot, while a loss would be devastating for their playoff hopes.
The action begins this Sunday at 1pm. Don’t miss it!
