A little cold Buffalo weather and a small snow storm didn’t stop Broomballers from hitting the ice Monday night to close out the fourth week of season three.  While of Blizzard of ’77 and Maple Fever continue their battle for first place, Sonic Broom is scratching and clawing to knock Pup N Suds out of 4th and final playoff spot.

Maple Fever remains unbeaten in its inaugural season with a win over fourth place Pup ‘N Suds.  Tony Chiaramonte opened up scoring for Maple Fever early in the first.  David Cory added another to give them a 2-1 lead after the first.  Andrew Tamchyna added two goals in the second period to extend their lead to 4-2 through the second.  Tori Soto scored two points in the third to put Pup ‘N Suds within reach, but it wasn’t enough as Maple Fever held on for the victory 5-4.

Blizzard of ’77’s continues to exhibit is offensive prowess with an impress 10-3 victory over defending champs Sonic Broom.  Holly Flannigan lead all scorers with 4 points.  Simon Tukcey netted a hat trick and teammate Chris Hein added an additional 2 goals in the win.

Sweepy Hollow rolls past Polar Vortex as its holds tightly on to third place entering the final week of the regular season.  Sweepy Hollows offense was in full swing as Ramon Suarez, Jonathan Dann, Jeff Sipos, and Brandon Siclari each scored 2 goals in the 8-3 victory.  Shawn Martin scored 2 of the 3 goals for Polar Vortex.

Next week Blizzard of ’77 and Maple Fever will battle it out for sole possession of first place and the #1 seed in the playoffs.  Both Pup ‘N Suds and Sonic Broom have key matchups as they battle for the fourth seed in the playoffs.
