Misfits Rugby Club The Misfits Rugby Club out of Western New York was formed January 2011 by seven ruggers who believed in creating a different kind of team where all the players felt they were a part of the teams decisions and actions. The Misfits came up just short of making the playoffs in their first fall season in 2011. In the spring 2012 season the Misfits Placed third in the St. Patrick’s Day tournament in Savannah, Georgia, first in the Dead Ants Tournament in Batavia, NY, and first in the Ruck Cancer Tournament in Utica, NY. In the 2012 regular season the Misfits finished second in the Division 3 North Division, which earned them a home playoff game versus North Jersey. While falling a try short of victory in their playoff game, this was a huge step forward for the team as they look to improve on their success into the future.
